Here are the details for this mode. The objective remains eight complete same-suit King-to-Ace runs. The game still uses 104 cards in ten columns. Choose one suit, two suits or four suits using the game controls. Relaxed Spider on gzjeco.com permits stock deals while columns are empty.
Deal into empty columns
The following details apply here. The relaxed stock rule does not change the rank requirement for ordinary moves. A stock card dealt to an empty column becomes that column's first face-up card. The relaxed stock rule does not allow mixed-suit groups to move together. An empty column no longer prevents a stock deal in this variant.
Read the opening
A few details help explain this feature. The stock contains fifty cards for five later deals. Only the bottom card of each opening column is face up. The opening tableau contains 54 cards. The first four columns have six cards each and the remaining six have five.
Descending rank placement
Here are the details for this mode. An exposed card may land on another exposed card exactly one rank higher. A King needs an empty destination because no rank is higher. The two cards do not need to share a suit for a single-card placement. An Ace cannot receive a lower-ranked card.
Move a group
Keep these points in mind. A suit change can leave a smaller movable group at the bottom of a column. A descending group moves as a unit only when every selected card shares a suit. A break in rank prevents the entire selected group from moving together. Same-suit building can reduce the work needed to separate mixed sequences later.
Keep space available
Empty columns remain useful for separating temporary mixed builds. Any exposed card or legal same-suit group can occupy an empty column. You may preserve an empty column until you decide to deal from the stock. A new stock row fills every empty column with one card.
Bring in another row
Here are the details for this mode. Undo restores the previous arrangement when the stock-deal snapshot is available. Dealing can block an existing sequence as well as reveal new combinations. A stock deal places one card onto each of the ten columns. You cannot direct an individual stock card to a chosen destination.
Clear the table
The following details apply here. Changing the number of suits does not change the number of required runs. Eight collected runs are required to finish Relaxed Spider. A complete run contains thirteen face-up cards in one suit from King to Ace. The game removes a complete run automatically at the bottom of a column.
Practice the variant
Here are the details for this mode. Hints identify legal options without guaranteeing a win. New game creates a fresh shuffle in the selected suit setting. Replay restores the same shuffle for another attempt. Random relaxed deals are not presented as guaranteed solvable.
